Kestrels started nesting close to my
house on the JR Joban Line near the oblique chord of the iron railway bridge
spanning the Tone River in late April.
And by late June the young birds start to leave the nest. This year, three
pairs of birds have nested, one has already left the nest, and it looks like
the second pair is about to leave the nest. I waited under the bridge for a few
days hoping that the birds would leave the nest, but I was not lucky.
The prey is a baby chick of starling.
