Because
the disease resistance has a flower beautifully, and this plant native to southern China does not
grow big more than required, it is often planted in a garden or the park
willingly.
In Japan, the name
of this plant is called "sarusuberi" which means because it is a
slippery tree, even a monkey slides down. And, other name is
”hyakujitukou”,"百日紅”in Chinese characters, which
means a hundred days long flowering.
The crape myrtle
with colors of a flower such as crimson, light red, purple, the white is
planted in a park, the garden of the private residence and pleases the eyes of
people in hot summer. However, I may sometimes feel crimson flowers at the time
of the intense heat to be hotter.
