Peregrine Falcon、ハヤブサ

This is the first installment of a two-part series on this topic.

There will be people all over the world who know the name of the falcon, even if you haven't seen it.

That's right, the peregrine falcon is a widespread bird of prey in the family Falconidae the worldwide

Every year here, one falcon will come flying to electric poles in the rice field when its rice harvest is finished.

I have been having thought this falcon will not hunt here since before, only just a rest. However, I watched the falcon that perched on the electric pole was eating a Eurasian jay on 18, October.

Hello

                     Long time no see you

Stop taking me pictures while I'm eating

Red crossbill,イスカ

I heard that Red crossbill, who I have never seen or photographed, is on the coast of the prefecture, and the next day, at 4:30 in the early morning, I headed to my destination 100 km away with my four friends. The site is a hilly forest with open black pine trees. A dozen people were already set up their cameras.. I waited for about 4 hours, and a Red crossbill stopped at the dead branch of a black pine on the ridgeline about 200m away. After that, a flock of about 10 birds stopped at the black pine, but it's too far!

Since I installed images here is too far away, So, Wikipedia and free images that are not copyrighted have also been uploaded.

Red crossbill is widely distributed in Europe, northern Asia, and North America. It mainly arrives in Japan as a winter bird, but the number of arrivals varies from year to year. A small number of them breed in the mountains of Hokkaido and Honshu. (Quoted from Wikipedia)

Siberian Rubythroat,ノゴマ

October 21st I already had been waiting for them for over two hours a day for more than twenty days this year. Have they already would be passed, or have they been off the route, or are they would not still be passing? According to my data pictures about Siberian Rubythroat here which I had been taken them in the past, they had been stopped by here as the usual year for about one week on the way to migrate to such as south Asia from Siberia. However, I could not observe them last year due to a typhoon. As usual this year also I had been checking for their arriving here from September 25th to October 21st, two hours every day except for rainy days. On October 21st, just when I was thinking about giving up waiting for the Siberian Rubythroat anymore, Suddenly, a male appeared that has a bit thin grey colored at last from a dark bush. It was in the morning on 21st, September and it was a late stopover than usual year.
