are the following three types of Cuculus
(saturatus);
Himalayan
cuckoo（ Cuculus (saturatus) saturatus）, Oriental cuckoo（Cuculus (saturatus) optatus） and Sunda cuckoo proper（Cuculus (saturatus) lepidus）, migrate in Spring to Japan is
Oriental cuckoo.
The exact extent of its wintering range is
uncertain due to its secretive habits and the difficulty of separating it from
the Himalayan cuckoo and other similar species.
