Water lily,睡蓮

 Water lily common in Japan is a horticultural species produced by crossing, breeding and producing some wild species. There are many varieties of flower colors, leaf colors, patterns and so on.

 This is a pond in a part of the private home garden. Water lilies began to bloom also this year, but one month seemed to be earlier than usual.

 Water is one of the most important things for agricultural people, and in Japan the water god

or suijin in Japanese has been linked to the god of the field or ta no kami in Japanese, as the harvest depends on the water situation. Suijins linked to the gods of the fields are often found along the fields and along waterways. In addition, suijins are also linked to mountain gods or yama-no kami

in Japanese. For water used in daily life other than farming, a suijin is engulfed in a well and  water drawing place.

There are Kappas, snakes, dragons, etc. as symbols of suijins, and these are considered to be an emissary of suijins or to be gods themselves.

Little ringed plover

After discharging from hospital

I found the nesting of little ringed plover  in a parking lot that was not used, during walking rehabilitation .

I think it must have  nested last year at this place, but it was not discovered last year. Later day, the owner of this parking lot was spraying herbicides in the parking lot. So I thought maybe I would not hatch by the harm of herbicide, but after four days the nesting was already empty. Then, the little ringed plover chick was found when observing all over the parking lot.

These photos are taken with canon 7D & 400mmf5.6 by hand ,because my doctor has not yet allowed me to use heavy equipment.

退院後、私は歩行リハビリの間、使用されていなかった駐車場にコチドリの巣を見つけました。

この場所に昨年営巣したに違いないと思うが、発見されなかった。 後日、この駐車場の所有者は、駐車場に除草剤を散布していました。 だからおそらく除草剤の害で孵化しないだろうと思ったが、4日後に巣はすでに空になった。 それから、駐車場全体を観察しているとき、コチドリのひよこが見つかりました。これらの画像は未だ重い機材を使用できないので、7Dと400ｍｍ5.6手持で撮りました。

Discharge,退院

I had surgery to replace the aortic valve at New Tokyo Hospital in the prefecture on April 16,and was discharged on the 28th.It will take three months to recover until complete attachment of sternum while walking everyday for rehabilitation.

4月16日に県内の新東京病院で大動脈弁置換術を受け、28日に退院しました。リハビリのために毎日歩きながら胸骨が完全に固着されるまで3ヶ月かかります。
