According to the Minamishinsyushinbun dated June 19, 2018
Noboru Nakamura (45 years old), a researcher at the Yamashina Institute for Ornithology (Chiba Pref.) who has challenged the flight route and confirmation of the wintering land of migratory birds of Oriental dollarbird which is the prefecture’s natural treasure of Nagano Pref. visited Tenryu mura(Tenryu village), Nagano Pref. on June 15, and he caught a Oriental dollarbird which
was attached a recording device with a built-in quantity of satellite positioning system, and after confirming the migrant route, it was found that there was a high possibility of overwintering in Cambodia south.
On the way, the equipment was out of batteries, but the final location could not have been reached,

but it is the first time in the country to turn out some routes of individuals living in East Japan.

The Japanese archipelago has been covered with fierce heat from last week to yesterday and has recorded temperatures of 36 degrees Celsius daily in western Japan and eastern Japan.
In Japan, the day exceeding 35 degrees Celsius is called an extremely hot day, yesterday it was that day at 186 observation sites nationwide.
Up to now, the maximum temperature in Japan is 41 degrees C recorded 4 years ago.
In addition, Japanese authorities say 210 people have been confirmed dead and 22 remain missing after the recent record rainfall this time in the western part of the country.
On the geomorphology, the Japanese archipelago is always next to a disaster such as an earthquake, typhoon, it can not avoid it.
There was an earthquake while creating this blog this morning.

Oriental dollarbird,

It breeds in the eastern part of Eurasian Continent and Australia. The subspecific name Orientalis means "oriental", and only this species is distributed in the Coraciidae.
It migrates to Japan as a summer bird, breeding in Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu, and migrates to Southeast Asia in winter.
It is distributed from the plains to the mountains in the habitat and inhabits the forest near the waterfront. Although it uses a tree hollow as a nest, the drainage ditch etc. which are provided in a wooden electric utility pole or a dam. Its feeding habit is eating insects etc in animal food.
Due to the decrease in the number of tree hollows required for breeding, stopover spots and populations have declined nationally, and are designated as endangered species in the Red Data Book of the Ministry of the Environment. In recent years, there have been increasing breeding with artificial nest boxes.
The images installed here, the other day, was taken in Tenryu-mura, Nagano prefecture, where is a well-known spot for this bird and is introduced its website.
The Japanese name of Oriental dollarbird is "Bupposo" but it is somewhat strange. If you search on Google, that means two hits. One is Buddhism, Buddha and Law (= teaching of Buddha) and monk (= one who considers the teachings of Buddha), this is called Sambo. Another one is a bird of the roller family.
In other words, the origin of this wild bird name comes from the three Jewels of the Buddhist world.
When expressing this "Three Jewels" expression in Roman letters, it is bu (Buddha), ppo (Law), so (Monk), "bupposo". And the birdcall that sounds bupposo became the origin of that name.
However, in fact, this bird's bird-calling sound quite differences from real bupposo’s bird-calling, and it turns out to be a scops owl, but the name of bupposo remains unchanged.(Quote from Wikipedia)

www.vill-tenryu.jp/buposou.htm

この“三宝”の表現をロ―マ字表記すると、bu(Buddha),ppo(Law),so(Monk),”bupposoとなる。
