According to the Japanese monthly magazine "Birder" in which was published in January 2007, the popularity of Japanese Paradise Flycatcher,Sankoutyou in Japan is rank in sixth.
If April also comes every year, the chirping of Japanese Paradise Flycatcher which is called Sankoutyou in Japanese will hear in a nearby Satoyama. The chirping can be heard like a tsuki -hi-hoshi and hoi-hoi-hoi in Japanese. I understand the coming flying in this unique song immediately. But, they go away from the nearby Satoyamas without a breed around this time and breed in the fairly remote mountainous area.
Satoyama :Country side forests with slopes and valleys, if I translate it simply.
