Butterfly dragonfly with Oogahasu(ancient lotus)

The
butterfly dragonfly is a kind of a dragonfly belonging to dragonfly family.
They are appeared from July to
September. The emergence begins in about
the middle of June. It is distributed over the Korean Peninsula, China and it
is distributed over Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu in Japan. It can be seen mainly in
the ponds and marshes which are full of vegetation from flatlands to the hillsides.
As they fly like a butterfly flutteringly, this Japanese name is on.
As
well as Japan, a lot of closely related species exist.

チョウトンボはトンボ科に属するトンボの一種である。
出現期は6-9月。羽化は6月中旬ごろから始まる。朝鮮半島、中国に分布し、日本では本州、四国、九州にかけて分布する。おもに平地から丘陵地にかけての植生豊かな池沼などで見られる。チョウのようにひらひらと飛ぶのでこの和名がついている。日本以外にも、近縁種が多数存在する。
