A National Designated Important Culture Property

The building of the old Yoshidas is appointed to the National Designated Important Cultural The Yoshidas is located in Kashiwa shi, Chiba prefecture and it is said that the origin goes back  

in the Heian period(from in 794 to1185) , to be the 43rd generation now.

When the Yoshidas prospered as a village headman while running agriculture mainly, ancient documents of the Edo era are listed, and they know that they managed the all affairs whole of the in the village according to the life of the Shogunate and the feudal lord. Edo era(from in 1603 to1867)

They made use of the financial power over the Showa era from the Meiji era and was active as an enterpriser, but made it for the promotion of the sports including mountain climbing and the ski without remaining in only this. It is made an effort for the promotion of maintenance and the sports of natural environments even now.(translate it for a main part from the website of the Yoshidas)

Japanese green pheasant

Japanese green pheasant is the national bird that declared as the national bird  by a non-government

body in 1947, which is called The Ornithological  Society of Japan.

Abiko-shi Shinsui public park ,which is located in front of Abiko Bird of Museum that is the only one in Japan.

Spotlight to the cherry blossom at night, it is called yozakure viewing. Yozakura  means that people
watch a night cherry blossom lighted up by spotlight.

This is fourth installment in a series and final.

If about two weeks passes after hatching ,the  aprox. two weeks old chicken will leave a nest

in my observation.

When the time comes, I will be upload  it.

 I spent for four days to take these kingfisher which perched on these cherry trees.

I was made to walk by this Tokai temple as an annual event of the elementary school at the time of the child. Coming and going distance aprox.6 km, It is a good old memory now.

Kingfisher(a couple)

This is the third installment in a series.

After the couple completed the nest hole that is cave around 80cm, they copulate.

Then, the female lays several eggs although based on the environment of small fish baits.

As I described before, this acts in Japan ,has said the courtship feeding, kyu-ai-kyu-ji.

You can see a small hole over hanging bluff, this is a kingfisher's nesting.
This nesting hole estimated 1.1m from a surface of the water  would be submerged due to heavy rain in May .Even if submergence is avoided, when a chick leaves the nest, to eat this chick, a snake invades a nest. I have seen these seen  many times. This is natural.
