White-bellied green pigeon

 This was my third time photographing white-bellied green pigeon ; the first time was in Okinawa Prefecture, and the second time was here in Chiba Prefecture.

The third time was in Terugasaki, Oiso Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, where these pigeons are known for their unusual habit of drinking seawater.

At 3:40am on July 29th, I boarded a friend's car and arrived at the site, which is 90km from my home.

There were already multiple cameramen and about 10 individuals who appeared to be local observers present.

The green pigeons, our target, kept flying in and out, so we started photographing them.

There was no wind that day, and the heat from the sun reflecting off the sand on the beach was unbearable, so we left the site two hours after we started shooting.
