Little grebe with water lily、Kaitsuburi,カイツブリ

UCN Rred list category:Least Concern
This is the first installment of a two-part series of this topic.

Little grebe is a resident bird in Japan, except a part of Tohoku district, and Hokkaido, summer migrant bird in that area.
When it is May in a season, the nest building of the little grebe begins in the private  pond close to my house, which is plenty of water lilies flowering.
In Japan, you can watch everywhere about nesting of little grebe , such as pond, marsh, lake, river.
Though this flower is absolutely different to a lily, it is mysterious I take a water lily every year, and to think in a question why you are called a water lily.
Footnote: Installed whole images this time are taken by collimated system.
