Lotus flower ,Hasu no hana ,ハスのハナ

This is the first installment of a two-part series of this topic.
           Wild bird with lotus flower installment will be second time.

The otus which flowering time in Japan is from June to August,is said to be an aquatic plant native to India and is the national flower of Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka.
However, this lotus which I install this time is special one, the name of original of this lotus is called Oogahasu , Kodaihasu in usual.

Footnote: about Oogahasu
One seed of the lotus was found a school girl of Hanazono, Chiba Junior High School on March 30, 1951 by the peat layer of 6m below ground, and two seeds were excavated on April 6.
Ichiro Oga who was the authority of the lotus performed real growth upbringing of these lotus seeds in botanists, and only one of three made a flower of the pinkness bloom in those days on growth, July 18, 1952.
This news was reported outside the country and was placed in the November 3, 1952 issue for Life Magazine weekly publication in the United States. And this lotus was measured in generation measurement of University of Chicago with before 2000.





















In addition, lotus roots which is called RENKON of the edible lotus are eaten well in Japan.

Brown hawk owl,Aobazuku,アオバズク

All the photographs of the brown hawk-owl which I took so far are only similar one. It is because this wild bird hardly moves when it perches on a twig in the daytime.

Abiko City Museum Of Birds The 76th plan exhibition

Abiko City Museum of birds is the only one museum for birds in Japan, as I installed before on this blog and is the town where I live in all the time.
The 76th museum plan exhibition of the Abiko city Museum of Birds started on Saturday, July 19.
The exhibition will be held until on Sunday, Nov.6.
The contents of the display divide the place where each lives in with approximately 270 kinds of specimens of all wild birds including an endangered species seen in Abiko city into a waterside, a forest, farmland and display it.

Japanese sparrowhawk, Tsumi,ツミ

Eight years ago, when I was taking a photograph of Japanese sparrowhwak in a place approximately 30m away from their nest building tree, the female attacked me suddenly.
I was surprised and lay on my back and returned, but the camera was in safe.
